Suffolk Photography Workshop

The Suffolk photography workshop focuses on landscape photography and starts at the fabulous location of Southwold beach. We will capture images of the rising sun over Southwold Pier and  will also have the opportunity to capture images of Southwold’s famous lighthouse and the colourful beach huts. Southwold can often be a busy location during the day, but as sunrise it is wonderfully peaceful with such a large variety of potential viewpoints all within a short distance of each other for us to exploit.

On from Southwold we will visit at least one other location before either ending our day photographing one of Suffolk’s finest mills, Herringfleet on the Suffolk side of the Norfolk & Suffolk Broads, or heading south along the coast from Southwold and finishing at either Walberswick, Aldeburgh or Sizewell beach.

This workshop always starts at sunrise and finishes shortly after lunch apart from the August date which concentrates on the heather in bloom around the Dunwich and Westleton area. For this workshop we start in the afternoon and shoot through until sunset. The Suffolk Photography Workshop workshop is aimed at all levels including complete beginners. Due to the way I teach this is a more relaxed way of working as opposed to learning in a classroom environment, we will be shooting first hand and seeing how the changes we make in our settings, approach and technique affects are images. Due to the small group numbers on the courses I will also be going around each individual photographer to also make sure what is taught is relevant to you and your camera.
